WHAT IS GROUP THERAPY?

Group therapy is a unique opportunity to explore emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and ways of relating in the presence of others. Many of the challenges people bring to therapy — in friendships, dating, family, or work — are relational at their core. Group therapy allows those patterns to gently surface so they can be understood and shifted.

There’s something deeply regulating about realizing you’re not alone in what you’re carrying. For many people, group therapy becomes the first place they feel truly seen, less isolated, and more able to show up authentically without performing or fixing.

What do group sessions feel like?

  • Therapist-guided conversations with gentle structure
  • Space for reflection, exploration, and real-time insight
  • Opportunities to hear others’ stories and recognize yourself in them
  • Learning how your relational patterns show up with others
  • A supportive environment where honesty and compassion coexist
  • Groups typically meet for 60–75 minutes, depending on format

Groups at LiteMinded are intentionally small, therapist-guided, and grounded in emotional safety. Sessions are structured enough to feel containing, while still allowing organic conversation and connection to unfold.

Therapists help slow the group down, notice patterns as they emerge, and offer thoughtful reflections that deepen insight and relational awareness. You’ll have opportunities to speak, listen, receive feedback, and experiment with new ways of relating that can carry into your life outside the group.
